In addition to learning all about food and nutrition science, the degree will give you the communication skills necessary to translate your knowledge into more digestible portions for the general public.
Skills and knowledge you’ll gain
The units within the degree will give you the skills and knowledge necessary to work towards becoming an accredited nutritionist.
You will gain skills and knowledge in:
• Nutrition and the role of diet in health maintenance and illness prevention.
• Evidence-based practice as applied to illness prevention and health promotion.
• The sociocultural factors that influence food intake and impact food security and be able to apply this knowledge in health promotion and community nutrition.
